IPINAHAYAG ng Department of Education (DepEd) na ang napili namaging host sa 2020 Palarong Pambansa ang Province of Occidental Mindoro.

Kinumpirman ni DepEd Undersecretary at Palarong Pambansa Secretary General Revsee Escobedo ang naturang desisyon sa closing ceremony ng Palaro edition kamakailan sa Davao City.

Ginanapa ang Palaro nitong April 27 hanggang Mayo 4 sa temang “Shaping the Future Through Sports.”

Naitala ngayong edisyon ng Palaro para sa mga estudyanteng atleta ang 32 records.

Tinanghal na overall champion ang National Capital Region (NCR) kasundo ang Region IV-A CALABARZON at Region VI Western Visayas.

Ipinagkaloob ang 2019 special awards sa Region V (Bicol Region) for the Most Disciplined Delegation; Region XII (SOCCSKSARGEN) for the Most Organized Delegation; Mintal Elementary School of Region XI (Davao Region) for the Best Billeting Quarter; Region V (Bicol Region) for the Cleanest, Greenest, and Eco-Friendly Quarter Delegation; and Region IV-A CALABARZON as the champion for the Special Games.
