MARAMING nagulats a official statement ni Jericho Rosales na huling teleserye na niya ang Halik. Gusto raw muna niyang magpahinga, at pagbalik ay iba na ang gusto niyang subukan tulad ng hosting, pagsusulat ng script ,pagdidirek , o bilang content producer.

“I’ve been working on soap operas or TV shows for 23 years now. It’s actually a good question na hindi ako prepared to answer right now but I have a clear answer in my head. I don’t wanna do soaps anymore.

“Is that a problem for me? No. Do I wanna stop TV? No. It’s the time for me to challenge myself to create something new for myself. And hopefully it works.

“But a different kind of TV show? Why not. It’s a world now of digital. We don’t know where things are going. It’s a season where each and every actor can create can direct, can produce, can write and one of the very few that actually offered me that is Ruel Bayani.”

Klinaro ng aktor na noon pa niya ito napag-isipan, pero may mga offer na hindi niya matanggihan kaya hindi matuluy-tuloy ang plano niya. Pero ngayong patapos na ang Halik ay magpapahinga raw muna siya bago niya umpisahan ang gusto niyang gawin.

Sa ngayon, wala pa rin sa plano nila ng asawang si Kim Jones ang magkaroon ng anak.

“I’m so blessed to have a beautiful wife who actually has the same passion. We talked about it already. She’s going to study, I’m going to study. She’s building a company, I’m rebuilding myself and her job is abroad. We’ve had this set-up for a very long time now.

“Na if she wants to study, if I want to study for 3 or 5 months and magkita kami somewhere kung saan mang parte ng mundo, we’re fine with that.

“This is the reason why we don’t want to have kids muna. Because we feel that sa buhay namin, parang ang daming umagaw ng mga gusto naming gawin sa buhay namin.

“Kaya parang bringing a baby into this world is not a good idea, kasi kawawa ‘yung baby. Papatayin namin ang mga pangarap namin dahil gusto naming mag-baby. Wala namang nagpe-pressure sa aming magka-baby, ‘di ba?

“Ano, kultura lang at tradisyon? May anak ako na mahal na mahal din ni Kim, nagmamahalan kaming apat. So, it’s a wonderful family, parang ganu’n. I have the best set-up right now,” pahayag ni Jericho.
