Kinumpirma ng Commission on Appointments (CA) kahapon ang appointment ni Antonio Tongio Kho Jr., isang law professor, bilang commissioner ng Commission on Elections (Comelec).

Kinumpirma rin ng bicameral constitutional body ang appointment ni Roy T. Devesa bilang major general sa Armed Forces of the Philippines (AFP) matapos isumite ni Sen. Panfilo M. Lacson, CA national defense committee, ang kanyang pangalan para sa kumpirmasyon.

Ang kumpirmasyon ni Kho ay iprinisinta ni Sen. Cynthia A. Villar, chairwoman ng CA constitutional commissions and offices committee, sa CA plenary session na pinamunuan ni Senate President Vicente Sotto III, chairman ng CA.
