Dapat samantalahin ng Filipino health care workers (FHCWs) ang maraming oportunidad sa tumataas na labor market sa United Kingdom (UK), ayon sa ulat ng labor department.
Sinabi ni Labor Secretary Silvestre Bello III na itinaas ng gobyerno ng UK ang quota nito sa pagbibigay ng visa sa mga nars at doktor sa ilalim ng migration policy Tier 2.
“The British government sees the Philippines as one of the best sources of world class healthcare professionals, particularly nurses. We expect more Filipino nurses and doctors to take advantage of the increasing demand in the UK health care sector,” ani Bello.
Ang aplikanteng nars sa UK ay kailangang maka-iskor ng 7.0 sa International English Language Testing System (IELTS), pumasa sa pagsusulit sa kagalingan na binubuo ng Computer-Based Test (CBT), at kumuha ng Objective Structured Clinical Examinations (OSCE), na ginawa sa England.
