LAKE SEBU, South Cotabato – Magsasagawa ng Indigenous Peoples Forum si Mindanao State University professor Henry Daut bilang bahagi sa tatlong araw na IP Games sa pormal na magsisimula ngayon sa Lake Sebu Municipal Gym.
Sa unang IP Forum sa Tagum City, Davao del Norte nitong Abril, si Daut din ang nangasiwa sa programa na mag temang “Restoring the Heritage, Reliving the Past, Rekindling the Spirit”.
Isang bukas na balitaktakan ang isasagawa matapos ang Forum.
Kabuuang 100 opisyal at kinatawan ng bawat tribo ang nagpahayuag ng kanilang paglahok, ayon kay Philippine Sports Commission (PSC) Commissioner at oversight in-charge Charles Raymond A. Maxey.
“We are very happy with the reception and interest for the IP Forum, particularly from the education sector. Students from the Lake Sebu Central Elementary School and National High School confirmed to attend the Forum,” pahayag ni Maxey.
Aniya, kasama rin sa programa ang mga kinatawan ng Department of Education (DepEd), National Commission on Indigneous Peoples (NCIP), LGUs, Indigenous Peoples Mandatory Representatives (IPMRs) at municipal tourism office.
Kabuuang 300 kalahok mula sa T’boli, Lake Sebu, Koronadal City, at Surallah ang sasabak sa IP Games tampok ang mga katutubong laro na hemanak, hanaw o kadang, sedeyol be klifak bliboy, setanggung o lechon race, sudul, meyon kuda law, at defut o sfut.
Inimbitahan bilang panauhing pandangal sina Senator Manny “Pacman” Pacquiao at South Cotabato Governor Daisy Avance Fuentes.
