Pinag-aaralan ni Labor Undersecretary Jacinto Paras ang pagsasampa ng kaso laban kay Akbayan Rep. Tom Villarin, na pinagbintangan siyang nagnakaw ng mamahaling cell phone nito.

“He said he already filed a complaint for theft against me. So, why does he not wait for me to receive a copy of his complaint and let me answer it? I am entitled to due process of law,” saad sa pahayag ni Paras. “I am, therefore, studying to file a case for damages against him for destroying my good name.”

Sinabi ng opisyal na gumagamit ang tinagurian niyang “big liar” na si Villarin ng “squid tactics” dahil walang basehan sa batas ang reklamo nito.

“He is using squid tactics because his complaint is very weak and has no leg to stand. That is why he is using the privilege speech as his political propaganda ahead of the dismissal of his complaint, which has no basis in law,” ani Paras. “He cannot get the proper authority to rule in his favor because he is a big liar.”Kinuwestiyon din ni Paras ang awtoridad ni Villarin para pagbawalan siyang pumasok sa Kamara, kung saan siya naging “three-termer congressman and I earned the good image of being decent and hard working”.

Matatandaang naghain na si Villarin ng kasong theft laban kay Paras sa Office of the Prosecutor sa Quezon City.
