Ipinaaaresto ng Sandiganbayan si Moro National Liberation Front (MNLF) founding chairman Nur Misuari kaugnay ng pagkakadawit nito sa umano’y maanomalyang pagbili ng educational materials, na aabot sa P115 milyon, noong opisyal pa ito ng Autonomous Region in Muslim Mindanao (ARMM).
Ayon sa 3rd Division ng anti-graft court, nakitaan ng probable cause ang reklamong graft at malversation laban kay Misuari.
Pinagbatayan ng korte ang mga dokumentong isinumite ng Office of the Ombudsman sa pag-iisyu ng warrant of arrest.

Bukod kay Misuari, ipinaaaresto rin ang tatlong dating opisyal ng ARMM na sina Leovigilda Cinches, Pangalian Maniri, at Sittie Asia Usman, Commission on Audit (COA)-ARMM resident auditor Nader Macagaan, at ang pribadong indibiduwal na si Cristeta Ramirez.
Base sa record, inaprubahan ni Misuari ang disbursement vouchers at purchase orders na aabot sa P115 milyon noong 2000-2001.
“Misuari was charged with three counts each of graft and malversation through falsification for allegedly conspiring with his co-accused in giving unwarranted benefits, advantage and privilege to three private companies,” diin ng hukuman.
