Uupo si Maj. Gen. Emmanuel B. Salamat bilang Nolcom chief sa isang change of command ceremony sa Nolcom headquarters na pangungunahan ni Armed Forces of the Philippines (AFP) Chief of Staff Gen. Eduardo Año.

Papalitan niya si Lt. Gen. Romeo T. Tanalgo na nakatakdang magreretiro matapos umabot sa mandatory retirement age na 56.

Si Salamat, na miyembro ng Philippine Military Academy (PMA) Class of 1985, ay tubong Laguna. Bago siya itinalaga sa Nolcom, anim na buwan siyang hepe ng Marines.

Commander si Salamat ng 1st Marine Brigade sa Sultan Kudarat mula Pebrero 2014 hanggang Hunyo 16.

Nagsilbi siyang hepe ng Unified Command Staff of the Armed Forces of the Philippines (AFP) Western Command mula Mayo 2013 hanggang Disyembre 2013.

Naging Assistant Superintendent siya ng PMA; deputy brigade commander ng 1st Marine Brigade; Superintendent ng Command and Staff College, Naval Education and Training Command of the Philippine Navy; Director ng Navy Personnel Management Center; Chief of Staff ng Combat and Service Support Brigade ng Philippine Marines; at commander ng 8th Marine Battalion at Adjutant and Operations Officer ng United Nations Guards Contingent sa Iraq.
