Inilabas na ng Philippine Air Force (PAF) ang pangalan ng pilot, co-pilot at crew member ng bumagsak na UH-ID combat helicopter sa Tanay, Rizal noong Huwebes ng hapon.

Ayon kay PAF spokesman Colonel Antonio Z. Francisco, dahil sa pagbulusok ng chopper na nangyari sa Sitio Hilltop, Barangay Sampaloc sa Tanay, Rizal, ay namatay ang isang piloto at dalawang crew member.

Sugatan ang co-pilot ng UH-1D Helicopter, na may tail number 8469 ng PAF, at isinugod sa AFP Medical Center sa Quezon City upang malapatan ng lunas.

Kinilala ni Francisco ang mga namatay na PAF personnel na si Captain Christian Paul T. Litan PAF (pilot-in-command), 30, ng Mataas na Kahoy, Batangas; Staff Sergeant Byron T. Tolosa PAF (crew chief), 38, ng Bgy. Villamor, Pasay City; at Airman First Class Joseph C De Leon PAF (gunner), 30, ng Lingayen, Pangasinan.

Samantala, sugatan naman si First Lieutenant Ceazar M Rimas PAF (co-pilot), 27, ng General Trias City, Cavite.

Nasa maayos nang kondisyon ang biktima, ayon kay Francisco.

“He is in stable condition right now, but as of this time hindi sya makausap because he was traumatized as a result of the incident,” aniya.

“Further, he will undergo procedure due to the injuries he sustained,” dagdag ni Francisco.

IMBESTIGASYON IPINAG-UTOS

Sinabi ni Francisco na matapos ang insidente, agad nagpadala ang PAF Commanding General, si Lieutenant General Edgar R. Fallorina, ng mga tauhan mula sa 505th Search and Rescue group upang magsagawa ng rescue and retrieval operations at magsagawa ng inisyal na imbestigasyon.

Nagpadala na rin, aniya, ang PAF ng grupo na magsasagawa ng malalimang imbestigasyon sa nangyaring aksidente, at ipinainspeksiyon ang iba pang UH-1D Helicopters kada standard operating procedure.

“The helicopters are currently grounded as part of the standard operating procedure. The helicopters will undergo inspection, especially the engine, electricals, that will be the initial. If the helicopters are okay, the grounding will be lifted,” ayon kay Francisco.

“We are waiting for the result of the investigatIon and the recommendations of the investigating team,” dagdag niya.
