Tiniyak ng Department of Labor and Employment (DoLE) na tuluy-tuloy ang kanilang kampanya laban sa ilegal na pangongontrata at sub-contract at sisiguruhin na mas maraming manggagawa ang mare-regular sa trabaho sa pagpapatupad ng Department Order (DO) 174.

Ito, ayon kay Labor Undersecretary Joel Maglunsod, ay matapos makipag-ugnayan ang Kilusang Mayo Uno (KMU) at iba pang mga grupo ng manggagawa na nagsama-sama sa tanggapan ng DoLE sa Maynila.

“The labor department is hearing your concerns. We also need your help. Let us all unite, continue fighting for your rights and report to us those companies and employers who violate and continue to implement illegal contractualization in the workplaces,” ayon kay Maglunsod.

Binigyang-diin ni Maglunsod na nagsusumikap ang DoLE sa pagsasagawa ng Special Assessment and Visit to Establishments (SAVE) at Occupational Safety and Health (OSH) inspections sa iba’t ibang kumpanya sa bansa upang matiyak na sila ay sumusunod sa bagong DO.
