Pinakamataas pa rin ang approval at trust ratings ni Pangulong Rodrigo Duterte sa hanay ng pinakamatataas na opisyal ng gobyerno, batay sa huling survey ng Pulse Asia.
Ikinatuwa naman ng Malacañang ang resulta ng nasabing survey sa kabila ng “vicious noise” mula sa mga kritiko ng Pangulo.
“The vicious noise from the President’s fiercest critics failed to dampen public sentiment on the latest presidential rating,” sabi ni Presidential Spokesman Ernesto Abella.
“We thank our people for trusting that the Duterte administration is on the right track to building a nation worthy of all Filipinos,” dagdag pa niya.

Aniya, ang Presidente ang nananatiling “highest approved” at “most trusted” na opisyal ng gobyerno kahit pa ginawa ang survey matapos itong sampahan ng impeachment complaint.
Sumabay din ang survey sa “Senate appearance of a self-confessed hitman, the media releases of human rights reports highly critical of the Duterte administration’s campaign against illegal drugs, and the internationally-aired video message of Vice President (Leni) Robredo,” ani Abella.
“This tells us that a great majority of Filipinos appreciate the President’s priority of protecting the nation’s patrimony — the next generation — from dangerous drug traffickers and violators, to restore a trustworthy government free from corruption, to keep our streets safe from crime; our society just and fair, and our many peoples get along,” aniya.
Gayunman, bahagyang bumaba ang rating ni Duterte nitong Marso kumpara sa survey rating nito noong Disyembre 2016.
Sa survey na ginawa nitong Marso 15-20 sa 1,200 respondents, nakakuha si Duterte ng 78% approval rating, habang 76% naman ang kanyang trust rating. Nasa 83% ang approval rating ni Duterte noong Disyembre.
Si Vice President Leni Robredo ay mayroong 58% approval rating sa huling survey, bumaba ng apat na porsiyento mula sa 62% noong Disyembre. Nasa 56% naman ang trust rating ng Bise Presidente mula sa dating 58%.
Nanatili naman sa 55% ang approval rating ni Senate President Aquilino Pimentel III, pero tumaas sa 51% ang kanyang trust rating.
Si House Speaker Pantaleon Alvarez ay mayroong 40% approval rating, habang bumaba ng isang puntos ang kanyang trust rating na 37%.
Bumaba rin ang approval rating ni Supreme Court Chief Justice Ma. Lourdes Sereno sa 42%, na hindi nalalayo sa kanyang trust rating na 40%.
Pagdating naman sa performance ratings, pinakamataas ang nakuha ng Korte Suprema sa 57%, sinundan ng Senado sa 55%, at Kamara, 50%. (BETH CAMIA at GENALYN D. KABILING)
