Goodbye PBA? John Amores, tinanggalan na ng professional license!

"We're very excited about this partnership with TV5. They did a great job of showcasing Gilas Pilipinas in action at the 2013 FIBA Asia Championship and 2014 FIBA Basketball World Cup. We enjoyed a tremendous working relationship with them as rights holders of the 2016 FIBA Olympic Qualifying Tournament in Manila. We now look forward to building on the success of those experiences in order to bring the very best of international basketball to the Philippines on a regular basis,” pahayag ni FIBA Secretary General at International Olympic Committee (IOC) member Patrick Baumann.

Ikinalugod naman ni TV5 owner Manuel V. Pangilinan ang kaganapan.

"TV5, the country's leader in sports broadcast, will further fuel the already intense Filipino passion for the sport of basketball, by utilizing multiple platforms that will give access to the games like never before."

"With the New Competition System and Calendar, Filipinos will experience more FIBA events and will get to see the national team play on home court more often. We are honored to be FIBA's partner as they push for the dynamic growth and development of basketball in the Philippines and around the world,” aniya.
