Bagamat nasa Immigration Lookout Bulletin Order (ILBO), pinahintulutan ng Department of Justice (DoJ) si Senator Leila de Lima na bumiyahe patungong United States at Germany.
Sinabi kahapon ni Justice Secretary Vitaliano Aguirre II na pinagbigyan ng DoJ ang hiling ng senadora na payagan itong lumabas ng bansa at nagpalabas ng Allow Departure Order (ADO) para rito.
“Acting on the Letter of Sen. De Lima relative to her plan to travel abroad, the DoJ has issued an Allow Departure Order or ADO to allow her to travel abroad because no case has as yet been filed against her before the courts,” ani Aguirre.
Bibiyahe mula Disyembre 11-22, sinabi ni De Lima na tatanggap siya ng parangal sa Amerika, habang naimbitahan naman siyang magtalumpati sa Annual Conference on Cultural Diplomacy sa Berlin, Germany.

Kasabay naman ng mga espekulasyong hindi na siya babalik sa bansa dahil sa mga kasong kanyang kinahaharap, nilinaw ni De Lima na babalik siya sa bansa pagkatapos ng kanyang biyahe.
“There is, however, nothing to worry about as I will surely return, along with my staff who will be with me during these foreign visits. I hope my brief absence would provide a welcome relief and respite to my detractors and critics. I will keep them in mind though,” sabi ni De Lima.
Oktubre 7 nang isailalim ng Bureau of Immigration (BI) si De Lima sa ILBO nito kasama ng iba pang personalidad na idinadawit sa bentahan umano ng droga sa New Bilibid Prison (NBP) sa Muntinlupa City.
Sa kasalukuyan, kasisimula pa lang ng DoJ sa preliminary investigation nito sa mga reklamong magkakahiwalay na inihain ng National Bureau of Investigation (NBI), Volunteers Against Crime and Corruption (VACC), nina dating NBI deputy directors Reynaldo Esmeralda at Ruel Lasala, at ng bilanggong si Jaybee Sebastian laban kay De Lima.
