Humingi kahapon ng paumanhin si Vice President Ma. Leonor “Leni” Robredo kay dating Vice President Jejomar Binay kaugnay ng kanyang naging pahayag na siya ang “most hardworking” housing chair.

“I said that to emphasize my passion and commitment and the hard work that I put into it, which I don’t think anybody can deny, but that does not mean that I’m undermining the effort of others,” aniya. “That is not in reference to I’m like undermining the effort of others. I could only have said it wrong.”

Ipinaliwanag ni Robredo na hindi niya intensiyon na mang-apak ng iba para lamang pagandahin ang kanyang imahe.

“If that was his impression, that was not what I meant,” diin ni Robredo.

Nagpahayag ng paumanhin si Robredo matapos niyang makipag-usap sa mga reporter sa Surigao City, kung saan siya ang guest speaker sa Teachers’ Congress ng Department of Education (DepED).

Sa isang press conference kaugnay sa kanyang pagbibitiw noong Lunes, ibinida ni Robredo ang kanyang mga nagawa sa HUDCC.

Pumalag naman ang kampo ni Binay at inilarawan si Robredo bilang “unfair and self-serving.” (Raymund F. Antonio)
