Sentro ng atensiyon sina defending champion at three-time queen Mary Joy Tabal at Rafael Polinquit ng titulo sa 40th MILO Marathon National Finals 2016 na pakakawalan sa Iloilo Convention Center sa Iloilo City.
Umaasa ang Nestle Philipines, Inc. na humigit-kumulang sa 20,000 runners na tutugon sa starting gun na pangungunahan nina Iloilo Mayor Jed Patrick Mabilog, MILO sports marketing manager Andrew Neri at race director Rio dela Cruz.
“As we celebrate our 40th anniversary, we hope to continue to energize champions and inspire Filipinos to be at their best in their respective endeavor,” pahayag ni Neri.
Nakatakda ring magbigay ng 10,000 pares ng running shoes ang MILO sa mga piling eskwelahan sa lalawigan bilang bahagi ng ‘Help Give Shoes’ advocacy para sa mga mahihirap na kabataan.
”We are all very excited to be hosting the most prestigious and longest running footrace in the country,” sambit ni mabilog. “We are honored to be part of the historic culminating event of the National MILO Marathon’s 40th anniversary. We hope all our runners will enjoy the race experience we have prepared for them.”
Ipinaabot naman ni Andrew Neri, MILO Sports Marketing Manager, ang pasasalamat sa lahat nang mga kalahok mula sa unang leg ng kakera na siyang dahilan sa patuloy na tagumpay ng karera.
“We are very thankful to all our friends from the local government, our partners, sponsors, volunteers, and everyone else who have contributed greatly to this finale,” pahayag ni Neri.
