Hindi pabor si Lipa Archbishop Ramon Arguelles na maging opisyal ng Parish Pastoral Council for Responsible Voting (PPCRV) ang mga dating commissioner ng Commission on Elections (Comelec).

“I don’t see the wisdom of electing Comelec commissioners to the PPCRV. It makes me believe more and more that PPCRV is less and less truly the watchdog of the citizens against possible Comelec misdemeanor,” ayon kay Arguelles.

“I have already retired as Comelec Commissioner. My loyalty to the Comelec has also retired. My loyalty now is to the PPCRV,” ani Sarmiento na inaasahang uupo sa watchdog mula November 1, 2016 hanggang October 31, 2022.
