DAHIL kapwa pursigido sa pagsusulong sa kampanya sa pangangalaga ng kapaligiran, lumagda sa isang memorandum of agreement ang liderato ng Technical Education & Skills Development Authority (TESDA) at Electric Vehicle Association of the Philippines para sa pagsasagawa ng training sa pagtugon ng electric vehicle sa environmental laws.
Base sa kasunduan, makikipagtulungan ang EVAP sa TESDA Green Technology Center *GTC) na pinamumunuan ni Director Felicidad B. Zurbano sa pagpapatupad ng E-Vehicle Service Training Program ng GTC,
Bukod sa pagpapalitan ng teknolohiya at impormasyon, mamamahagi rin ng training tools, equipment at instructional materials hinggil sa tama at ligtas na pagseserbisyo ng mga electric vehicle na hindi pa rin gamay ng maraming estudyante.

“These will be for TESDA’s vocational training students wishing to acquire the skills in the relatively-new electric vehicle technology. EVAP commits to be an effective partner with TESDA GTC by providing whatever resources are available from our members to their training programs. We can even co-develop the appropriate curriculum for the training courses,” ayon kay EVAP President Rommel Juan.
Ang GTC ay itinuturing na “Green Skills Hub” ng TESDA, na pinagmumulan ng mga makakalikasang inisyatibo ng ahensiya na may malaking epekto sa mamamayan ay nagmumula.
Dito rin isinusulong ang paglago ng industriya ng electric vehicle para sa mga Pinoy.
Kabilang sa mga pangunahing adhikain ng GTC ang pagrerekomenda ng mga polisiya para sa sustainable development, pagpapatupad at pagsusulong ng mga kasalukuyang modelo, programa at panuntunan para sa “environment-compliant” na Technical Vocational and Training (TVET), at inaasahang tutulong din ang ibang sektor ng lipunan.
Samantala, ang EVAP ay bagong organisasyon ng mga EV manufacturer, assembler, importer, distributor, supplier at advocate.
“We have agreed to provide support to TESDA GTC because they share our vision of developing this sunrise industry, and we really need technical training and education for technicians to further develop the EV industry. All these are aimed at further propagating the Green Technology and the use of EVs nationwide,” pahayag ni Juan.
Ipakikita sa publiko ang lahat ng produkto at tekonolohiya ng EVAP sa Philippine Electric Vehicle Summit 2016, na gaganapin sa Abril 14-15 sa Meralco Multipurpose Hall sa Pasig City.
