Nakahanap ng malaking tulong ang mga lokal na batang manlalaro ng tennis sa bansa matapos na makipagtambalan ang higanteng korporasyon na Globe Telecom sa HEAD Philippines sa pagtataguyod ng 17th Head Graphene XT Junior Tennis Satellite Circuit.

“We want to discover the country’s next big local tennis sensations while harnessing the potential of up-and-coming young Filipino tennis players nationwide,” sabi ni Globe Vice President for Mobile Cluster Sales Albert Tinio sa paglulunsad ng programa kahapon sa Greenbelt II sa Makati.

Susuportahan ng Globe ang gaganaping torneo ng HEAD Philippines para sa mga kabataang Pilipino sa Marso 10 hanggang Hunyo 7 na papalo sa kabuuang 17 malalaking lungsod sa bansa.

“This momentous collaboration by the Philippines’ leading telecommunications company and the biggest name in sports equipment will lead in the grassroots tennis development program all over the country,” pahayag naman ni Liza Tang-Yuquico, managing director ng Head Philippines.

“Participating in major sports activities is an avenue for us to manifest our desire to create a wonderful world for Filipinos. Because of their love for tennis, Globe would like to make inroads in the said sport through our team-up with HEAD Philippines on the Junior Tennis Satellite Circuit,” giit pa ni Tinio.

“At HEAD Philippines, we believe that we are molding a lot of young and talented individuals who are just waiting for their chance to be the next Filipino tennis superstar as they gain points and win in local and international meet. It is our mission to make Head Junior Tennis Satellite Circuit the springboard for up and coming players. Ang natatanging torneo na 17th Head Graphene XT Junior Tennis Satellite Circuit ay nagsilbing hagdan ng mga local player mula sa iba’t ibang rehiyon upang makatipon ng ranking points at maging miyembro ng national pool sa Philippine Tennis Association (PHILTA).

Paglalabanan sa torneo ang singles at doubles events sa magkakaibang age categories: 10-years-old-and under (unisex), 12-and-under (boys), 14-and-under (boys), 16-and-under (boys), 18-and-under (boys), 12-and-under (girls), 14-and-under (girls), 16-and-under (girls) at 18-under (girls).
