Mahigit sa 500 galit na manggagawa mula sa Koalisyon Kontra Katiwalian (KKK) ang nag- rally sa tanggapan ng National Labor Relations Commission (NLRC) sa Quezon City upang ipanawagan ang paglilinis ng mga tiwaling kawani sa mga labor court.

Ito ay matapos mailathala ang statement of assets, liabilities at net worth (SALN) ng mga commissioner ng NLRC sa website ng ahensiya.

“The NLRC is a millionaires’ club that reeks with the stench of corruption. Its commissioners and arbiters may argue that their wealth was acquired legally, using their unabashed reporting of net worth in the SALNs as evidence,’’ pahayag ni Ronnie Luna, lead convenor ng KKK.

Nanawagan si Luna na isailalim sa lifestyle check ang mga NLRC commissioner at iba pang labor arbiter.

“The disclosure of the SALNs is not enough. We demand the opening of their bank accounts to public scrutiny as what the impeachment court did to former chief justice Renato Corona. If the labor court wants to maintain its integrity to the workers, then it should willingly submit to this radical but reasonable demand,” dagdag ni Luna.

Binubuo ng 50 organisasyon ng mga manggagawa, nanawagan ang KKK na tanggalin ang NLRC Rule 12 na nagbibigay ng kapangyarihan sa NLRC at respondent-employer upang muling magnegosasyon para sa mas mababang halaga sa mga pre-execution conference.

Naniniwala ang KKK na may kinalaman ang Rule 12 sa malaking net worth ng mga NLRC official.
