Nakatakdang ilunsad ng Land Transportation Office (LTO) ang isang digital driver's license na magsisilbing alternatibo sa physical card.
Ayon kay LTO chief Jay Art Tugade maaaring ma-access ang nasabing digital version ng driver's license sa pamamagitan ng tinatawag na "Super App."
Ang Super App ay binuo ng Department of Information and Communications Technology (DICT).
"The advantage of the digital license is that motorists can present it to law enforcement officers during apprehension. It is equivalent to presenting the physical driver's license," ani Tugade.

Hindi naman nabanggit kung kailan opisyal na ilulunsad ang nasabing bersyon ng driver's license.
Maaaring gamitin ang Super App para sa iba pang transaksyon sa ahensya tulad ng license registration at renewal gayundin ang online payments.
