Walang UP College Admission Test (UPCAT) para sa pagpasok ng mga mag-aaral ng unang taon sa Academic Year 2021-2022 dahil sa patuloy at hindi pantay na pagkalat ng coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19).
Ang University Councils (UCs) ng walong constituent universities (CUs) ng University of the Philippines System “unanimously voted NOT to administer UPCAT in light of logistical issues in the paper-and-pencil testing of about 100,000 17-year old applicants,” ayon sa ipinalabas na memorandum ng Office of the Vice President for Academic Affairs noong Oktubre 30.
