BEIJING (AFP) – Nanawagan ang China kahapon sa North Korea na itigil ang nuclear at missile activities nito kapalit ng paghinto ng military wargames ng US at South Korea, upang maiwasan ang “head-on collision.”
‘’To defuse the looming crisis on the (Korean) peninsula, China proposes that as a first step, the DPRK may suspend its nuclear and missile activities in exchange for the halt of the large-scale US-ROK exercises,’’ sabi ni Foreign Minister Wang Yi, gamit ang acronym para sa dalawang Korea.
‘’The two sides are like two accelerating trains coming toward each other with neither side willing to give way,’’ ani Wang sa press conference sa sidelines ng taunang parliament session ng China. ‘’ Our priority now is to flash the red light and apply the brakes on both trains.’’
