KAAGAD kumunot ang noo ni Derek Ramsey nang matanong tungkol sa droga sa presscon ng The Escort na pinagbibidahan nila ni Lovi Poe at ni Christopher de Leon.

“I’m anti-drugs, you know that. I’ve always been anti-drugs. My mom is a drug tester. So I’m against drugs. So, for me, dapat wala kayong pinipili, whether artista ka, normal kang tao, mayaman kang businessman, kung gumagamit ka ng drugs or nagtutulak ka ng drugs, dapat you should be stopped.

“Na ‘yung users, ibang ano naman ‘yan. Dapat these people should be given a chance to go through rehab and change.

And pangit din naman kung dating addict and na-realize na niya ‘yung pagkakamali niya sa buhay and he turned his life around which is very difficult. Kaya nga it’s an addiction, it’s so hard to turn it around.

“Like you’re gonna even dig that up, and then, exploit it again to the public na ‘addict ‘to’ or ‘dating addict’, baka magka-relapse ‘yung taong ‘yun, so kawawa naman. So, they should be very careful.

“But with the war against drugs, I’m for it. But again, there’s still due process,” paliwanag ng aktor.

Suportado ni Derek ang pagsugpo ng administrasyon ni Presidente Rodrigo Duterte sa illegal drugs sa bansa. Pabor din ba siya na pangalanan ang kapwa niya artista na gumagamit nito?

“I’m not going against my fellow celebrities but we’re not gods here, we’re not better than everybody else. We’re celebrities, that’s our line of work, that doesn’t make us, you know, president of the Philippines when you’re untouchable, ‘di ba?”

Ang hiling lang ng aktor ay siguraduhing mabuti bago maglabas ng pangalan.

“Kasi, masisira mo ang buhay ng tao. So if it’s just hearsay, I don’t think you should ano... but if you’re 100% sure na this person was given the chance to stop what they’re doing pero patuloy pa rin, I think, yes, you should expose that out to the public because as a celebrity, niloloko mo ‘ yung mga taong naniniwala sa ‘yo,” maayos na pahayag ni Derek.
