Nagbabala si Director General Ricardo Marquez, hepe ng Philippine National Police (PNP), na sisibakin niya ang sino mang police commander na makapagtatala ng maraming firecracker-related injury sa kanilang hurisdiksiyon sa Pasko.

“The context of the campaign against illegal firecrackers is connected with the number of injuries on the ground. So my instruction to police regional is that the campaign should be bold enough and make sure that those who are not supposed to sell firecrackers will not be allowed to sell,” ani Marquez. “If there would be injuries in your areas, I will make you pay for it.”

Ayon sa opisyal, naibaba na ang direktiba sa station level upang matiyak na malaki ang mababawas sa sakunang dulot ng paputok sa kani-kanilang area of responsibility. (Aaron Recuenco)
