Nangako ang Commission on Election (Comelec) na magiging mas transparent ito sa isasagawang automated elections sa 2016 sa pagbubukas ng komisyon sa mas maraming outside observer sa paghahanda sa halalan.
Sinabi ni Comelec Chairman Sixto Brillantes Jr. na pahihintulutan na niyang makibahagi ang Comelec Advisory Council (CAC) sa mga en banc meeting ng komisyon upang subaybayan ang mga hakbangin ng Comelec para sa susunod na eleksiyon.
“Previously, we have not been talking with our CAC that much. Now, we already have an arrangement that they (CAC) will have a representative every week, every time the steering committee meets, they will have someone sitting in,” sabi ni Brillantes. (Samuel Medenilla)
