Kumpiskado ng Bureau of Customs (BOC) ang halos ₱2.5 milyong halaga ng high-grade marijuana o kush sa Port of Clark, Pampanga kamakailan.

Sa Facebook post ng BOC, nasa 1,514 gramo ng kush na nagkakahalaga ng ₱2,498,100 ang nadiskubre padala na idineklara bilang "denim jeans" nitong Mayo 15.

Nauna nang nagduda ang mga tauhan ng X-ray Inspection Project (XIP) sa laman ng nasabing shipment kaya kaagad na isinailalim ito sa physical examination sa harap ng mga tauhan ng Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency (PDEA) K9 Unit, Customs Anti-Illegal Drugs Task Force, Enforcement and Security Service at Customs Intelligence and Investigation Service.

Sa nasabing pagkakataon, natuklasan ang mga pinatuyong dahon ng marijuana na nakatago sa tatlong selyadong bag.

“The Port of Clark is firm with its anti-illegal drugs campaign. Through the vigilance of our personnel and the constant support of PDEA, we were able to stop various drug smuggling attempts as evidenced by the port’s series of apprehensions. Rest assured that the Port of Clark will continue to enforce its border security measures,” pahayag naman ni District Collector Elvira Cruz.
