Nagpahayag si Pangulong Bongbong Marcos, Jr. tungkol sa kawalan ng Department of Health (DOH) secretary sa kabila ng tumataas na kaso ng Covid-19 sa bansa at sa pagpasok ng bagong coronavirus variants sa bansa.

“We have to get away from the [Covid-19] emergency, the emergency stance of the DOH, because we have to open up businesses,” ani Marcos nitong Huwebes, Oktubre 20 sa kaniyang panayam sa mga mamamahayag. 

“We have to make the Philippines more hospitable to travelers, both business and tourists,” dagdag pa niya.

Ayon pa sa pangulo, kailangan pa nilang ayusin ang mga pandemic protocols.

"It does not help if we are still under a state of calamity– if we are the only country that still has a mask protocol," aniya.

"But these are mandated to us by the laws that were passed during the pandemic. So kailangan pa nating ayusin yun."
