Inanunsyo ng Metropolitan Manila Development Authority (MMDA) ang pagbabalik ng limitadong operasyon ng Pasig River Ferry Service (PRFS) simula sa Lunes, Agosto 3,sa ilalim pa rin ng handog na libreng sakay sa mga pasahero.

“We are pleased to announce that everything is set for the partial resumption of the PRFS, but only half of its capacity, inclusive of ferry boat crew. Also, we will continue to provide free rides for the ferry passengers,” sabi ni MMDA Chairman Danilo Lim.

Kabilang sa inisyal na mag-ooperate na ferry stations ay ang Pinagbuhatan, San Joaquin, Guadalupe, Valenzuela, Lawton at Escolta.Ang operasyo n ng Ferry service ay mag-uumpisa ng Lunes hanggang Sabado mula sa 6:00 ng umaga hanggang6:00 ng gabi subalit sa 50 porsiyentong kapasidad lamang alinsunod sa IATF guidelines.

Ang ruta ng ferry boat ay ang Pinagbuhatan hanggang Guadalupe, Guadalupe hanggang Escolta at pabalik, at ng Guadalupe hanggang San Joaquin at vice versa.

“We look forward to serving our passengers, compliant with the physical distancing policy and other health protocols to ensure their safety,” banggit nito.

Sa paghahanda naman ng pagbabalik ng PRFS operations, ang lahat ng ferry stations at ferry boats,kasama ang docking at maintenance facilities,ay sumailalim sa mandatory disinfection.Ang mga floor markings, stickers at posters ay inilagay sa ferry station upang gabayan ang mga pasahero sa pagpapairal sa physical distancing.
