Despite giving their everything, only Diane and Rachel May will move on to the next round.
‘Yung isa namang contestant named Lucas Garcia ay umaming nag-pretend siyang hindi siya bading pero those days daw are now over.
During his introduction, Garcia said: “I am 20 years old, proudly and beautifully gay from Lipa City, Batangas.”
He said that he joined Idol Philippines because he knew that he will be judged based on his talent, not by his gender preference.
And what a talent he had - all of the judges agreed that his cover of Sam Smith’s Lay Me Down was one of the best they’ve heard and that they had no hesitations in saying “yes”.
“It gave me goosebumps,” said James Reid, to which Regine added that she thought his version was flawless and that his personality will take him far into the competition.
