SA nabuong pananaw ng Samahang Basketbol ng Pilipinas (SBP),nagsimula ng palaganapin sa bansa at ipakilala ang 3x3 basketball.

May misyong maihatid ang world-class 3x3 basketball sa Pilipinas kasama ng hangarin na mapataas ang ranking ng bansa upang mag qualify sa Tokyo 2020 Olympics, inihayag ng International Basketball Federation (FIBA) at ng Chooks-to-Go ang nakatakdang pagdaraos dito unang edisyon ng SUPER QUEST.

Tatawaging Chooks-to-Go 3x3 Asia-Pacific Super Quest, ang torneo ay itinakda sa Abril 6-7 sa Manila.

“After last year’s success of the FIBA 3x3 World Cup organized by SBP, the initiative of Chooks-to-go to set up a tournament with international teams from Asia-Pacific qualifying to the FIBA 3x3 World Tour is excellent news, underpins the effort of Chooks-to-go in organizing dozens of local 3x3 events and will accelerate the development of 3x3 in Philippines. There is no reason why Philippines cannot have successful teams playing at World Tour level, considering the depth of talent and love for the game in the country,” pahayag ni FIBA 3x3 Managing Director Alex Sanchez.

Ang Super Quest ay isang multi-tournament qualification tour kung saan ang mga magsisipagwaging mga koponan ay magku-qualify sa World Tour Masters.

“We are looking for tangible ways for the country to find its way to the Olympic Qualifying Tournaments. I know it’s hard at this point but we will try everything,” ayon naman kay Chooks-to-Go President Ronald Mascariñas.

“We are happy to be chosen to host the first-ever Super Quest.”

Ang mga top placers sa Super Quest ay magkakamit naman ng slot sa FIBA 3X3 World Tour.

“With Chooks-to-Go Pilipinas 3x3, we want to show to the Filipino people that there is another avenue for our basketball players to compete in. With the Super Quest, we want to show the world that we can compete with the world’s best in 3x3 basketball,” ayon naman kay Chooks-to-Go Pilipinas 3x3 league commissioner Eric Altamirano.
