Sinabi ni Philippine Charity Sweepstakes Office (PCSO) General Manager Alexander Balutan na handa siyang magpaimbestiga sa umano’y milyun-milyong pisong ginastos ng ahensiya sa Christmas party nito.
“I will volunteer to be investigated and open to any investigation by Congress,” sinabi ni Balutan sa panayam sa telepono kahapon.
Bilang tugon sa akusasyon ng whistleblower na si Sandra Cam sa umano’y “grandiose” PCSO Christmas party celebration, sinabi ni Balutan na “the PCSO has nothing to hide and is ready to account for it to the last centavo supported by corresponding official receipts of our expenditures during our Christmas party.”

“The PCSO spent P3 million for the hotel, food and give away prizes for the Christmas party and not P10 million,” paglilinaw ni Balutan.
Isiniwalat ni Cam, bagong talagang PCSO director, ang umano’y labis na paggasta ng PCSO para sa Christmas party nito.
Sinabi naman ni Balutan na bukas siya sa kahit anong imbestigasyon upang mapatunayang walang iregularidad sa PCSO Christmas party.
“In fact, I will volunteer to be investigated to prove that we are not hiding anything,” ani Balutan, dating military officer ng Philippine Marines na may ranggong major general at tumanggap ng maraming parangal.
Kaugnay nito, inakusahan din ni Balutan si Cam ng pag-impluwensiya sa isang kaibigan, si Atong Ang, bilang in-charge ng “lucrative” Small Town Lottery draw nationwide ng PCSO.
