Nauubusan na ng pasensiya si Pangulong Duterte sa napakabagal na serbisyo ng mga tanggapan ng gobyerno sa kabila ng mga repormang ipinatupad niya kontra kurapsiyon.
Ito ay makaraang magpahayag ng pagkadismaya ang Presidente sa proseso ng trabaho sa pamahalaan ay nagsabing nais niya “[to] destroy the government” para magtatag ng bago na mas epektibo ang serbisyo sa mamamayan.
“I would like to destroy government itself. If I had my way, I would and re-invent something more than just not the powers. We can have less powers but more efficient organization,” ani Duterte. “If there’s an ideal set-up that we can follow, I’d be glad to destroy government and put in place something of a bureaucratic authority that would move by itself automatically without the need of an authority.”

Inamin din ng Pangulo na dismayado siya kahit sa mismong mga empleyado sa Malacañang dahil sa “ang mga tao doon, pinapabalik-balik”.
Sinabi rin niyang ipatatawag at kakausapin niya isa-isa ang mga opisyal at kawani ng gobyerno na isinumbong sa 8888 government hotline.
“But I’ll try to make a second, not really a desperate move. But you have to kneel down before the public and you have to promise the people that we are serving that you have to improve on your service,” aniya.
