Inalisan ng koronan ni Sam Querrey si Murray sa quarterfinals nitong Miyerkules (Huwebes sa Manila), 3-6, 6-4, 6-7 (4), 6-1, 6-1 sa Centre Court.

Naitala ni Querrey ang tatlong sunod na five sets win sa All England Club. Sunod na makakaharap ng 24th-seeded American ang magwawagi sa pagitan nina Gilles Muller at Marin Cilic sa semifinals sa Biyernes (Sabado sa Manila).

Bunsod ng panalo, si Querrey ang unang American na nakalusot sa semifinals sa lahat ng major tournament mula nang magawa ni Andy Roddick na makasunod sa Finals ng Wimbledon noong 2009.

“The specialists that I’ve talked with, they haven’t been really too clear, mentioning also surgery, mentioning different options. Nobody was very clear in what needs to be done,”aniya.
