Kaisa ang gobyerno ng Pilipinas at sambayanang Pilipino sa pagdadalamhati at pagkondena sa pag-atake noong Hulyo 26 ng mga Islamic State jihadist sa Saint-Etiene Du Rouvray Parish Church sa Normandy, France kung saan pinatay si Father Jacques Hamel habang nagdaraos ng misa.
“There is no justification for the horror and brutality perpetrated by these terrorist elements and considers this act as a perversion of religion and a product of a warped ideology, which are incompatible with the democratic and humanitarian traditions upon which the Philippines and France are founded,” saad sa inilabas na kalatas ng Department of Foreign Affairs (DFA) nitong Lunes ng gabi.
Naninindigan din ang Pilipinas sa pakikiisa nito sa mga hakbangin ng French Republic laban sa mga teroristang grupo.
