Sinabi ng Universal Robina Corp, kabahagi ng Philippine conglomerate na JG Summit Holdings Inc, noong Huwebes na ipinabalik nito ang ilan libong kahon ng C2 tea drink at Rong Do energy drink sa Vietnam dahil sa “excessive lead content”.
Lumabas sa audit ng Vietnamese health authorities na “one batch of C2 and one batch of Rong Do as having exceeded Vietnam product safety standards,” saad sa pahayag ng kumpanya.
“We were able to retrieve a few thousand cases,” sabi ni Lance Gokongwei, Universal Robina CEO, sa mamamahayag matapos ang stockholders’ meeting ng JG Summit. (Reuters)
