Archdiocese of Palo, ipinagdasal mga naapektuhan ng school shooting sa Tacloban

Inihayag ng Archdiocese of Palo na sila ay labis na nabigla at nagdadalamhati kasunod ang naganap na school shooting incident sa San Jose National High School sa Tacloban City noong umaga ng Lunes, Hunyo 22.

Sa inilabas nilang pahayag noon ding Lunes, Hunyo 22, ipinagdasal din ng Archdiocese of Palo ang mga biktima ng naturang insidente, at nakisimpatya sa pamilyang naulila ng mga nasawing mag-aaral.

“The Archdiocese of Palo is greatly shocked and grieving on the horrific act of violence and the tragic loss of innocent lives during the school shooting incident that happened in San Jose National High School, Tacloban City,” saad ng Archdiocese of Palo.

Ayon pa sa kanila, “As we pray for the victims and mourn with their families and loved ones, our thoughts and prayers also go to all those who have in one way or another been affected by this tragedy – the school and community, the families of the students and the society which have nurtured our young people.”

“This tragedy challenges us all to reflect on how we (our nation, our families and communities) have raised our children and young people and on the values we have imparted to them,” dagdag pa nila.

Ipinanawagan naman ng nasabing arkidiyosesis ang pagkakaisa at pagtutulungan upang hindi na muling mangyari ang naturang trahedya.

“Let us unite and work together that this kind of tragedy will never happen again. We continue offering prayers and support to all the victims and invoke the help of our Lord, that the wounds created by this tragic event may be healed by His great love and mercy towards His children,” anang arkidiyosesis.

Batay sa datos ng Philippine National Police (PNP), na inilatag ng Tacloban City Information Office nitong Martes, Hunyo 23, as of 8:00 am, nananatili sa tatlo ang nasawi sa nasabing school shooting incident; 15 ang nasugatan; at lima naman ang nagtamo ng “not gunshot related injuries.”
