DepEd sa shooting incident sa San Jose NHS: ‘We strongly condemn this act of violence!’

Mariing kinondena ng Department of Education (DepEd) ang karahasang naganap sa insidente ng pamamaril sa San Jose National High School nitong Lunes ng umaga, Hunyo 22, kung saan tatlong estudyante ang nasawi at lima naman ang napaulat na nasaktan.

Batay sa pahayag na inilabas ng DepEd nito ring Lunes, Hunyo 22, inilahad nila ang anila’y kanilang “gravest concern” kaugnay sa naganap na insidente.

“The Department of Education expresses its gravest concern over the tragic shooting incident at San Jose National High School in Tacloban City,” saad ng DepEd.

Anang departamento, ang kaganapan ay maituturing nila bilang isang “high-alert situation.”

“The Department considers this as a high-alert situation. Our Central Office officials, alongside regional and division office personnel, are actively on the ground, coordinating closely with school authorities and law enforcement to secure the premises and ensure safety, security, and protection,” anang departamento.

“To address the immediate emotional toll of this tragedy, the Department is working hand-in-hand with relevant government agencies to deploy critical medical assistance and appropriate psychosocial interventions for the affected learners and personnel,” dagdag pa nila.

Nakiramay din ang DepEd sa mga naulilang pamilya ng mga nasawing mag-aaral sa shooting incident.

“We strongly condemn this act of violence and extend our deepest condolences to the families of the victims, as well as our earnest prayers for the swift recovery of those who were injured. The Central Office is now mobilizing assistance to our affected learners,” ani DepEd.

“We strongly urge the public to respect the privacy and dignity of all children involved and to allow the proper authorities to conduct a thorough and impartial inquiry,” anila.

“The safety, well-being, and mental health of our learners and personnel remain among the Department’s highest and most uncompromisable priorities. We remain committed to ensuring that our schools are secure, supportive environments for all,” pagtatapos ng DepEd.

Base sa mga ulat, nahuli na ang dalawang suspek sa insidente ng pamamaril sa nabanggit na eskwelahan—na kapwa menor de edad pa lamang.

Patuloy pa ang imbestigasyon hinggil sa motibo ng karumal-dumal na krimen.
