NAKIPAGTULUNGAN ang On Entertainment (“Playmobil”) ni Aton Soumache kay Joann Sfar, ang respetadong French comicbook artist at filmmaker, para gumawa ng live action mini-series na inspired sa 1943 philosophical at self-reflective parable na The Little Prince ng French aviator at author na si Antoine de Saint Exupery, ulat ng Variety.
Ang proyekto, na sa kasalukuyan ay nasa early development stage pa, ay gagawing five mini-movies na puno ng fantasy at adventures “which will mix live action and CGI in the veins of The Lord of the Rings and The Jungle Book, pahayag ni Aton sa Variety.
Ayon naman kay Joann, naging makahulugang bahagi ang The Little Prince sa kanyang sa kanyang career. Ang 2008 adaptation niya ng The Little Prince ay naging New York Times bestseller na naging dahilan ng breakthrough niya internationally.

“All the characters I have created, whether in Le chat du Rabin or in Little Vampire, are close to the The Little Prince; for one thing they all fly,” sabi ni Joann, at idinagdag na “(he’s) always been fascinated by aviators, the legends around those heroes of the sky.”
Dati nang ginawan ng On Entertainment ang The Little Prince ng animated movie na idinirihe ni Mark Osborne. Unang ipinalabas ang pelikula sa sa isang kumpetisyon sa Cannes noong 2015 at mula noon ay ipinalabas na rin sa ibang mga bansa hanggang magwagi ng Cesar Award (France’s equivalent to the Oscar).
