Hinarang ng mga tauhan ng Bureau of Immigration (BI) sa Ninoy Aquino International Airport (NAIA) ang isang Filipino-Chinese at kasama nitong Pinay matapos magpanggap na mag-asawa upang makaalis papuntang China.

Ayon kay BI Commissioner Jaime Morente, pasakay na ang mga suspek sa Cebu Pacific flight papuntang Xiamen, China nang harangin sa departure area ng NAIA terminal 3, nitong Hunyo 8.

“This is another trick employed by human traffickers to facilitate the travel of their victims. Marriage certificates are procured for the victims so they can leave accompanied by their fake spouses,” sabi ni Morente.

Ayon sa Travel Control and Enforcement Unit ng BI, naghinala ang mga information officer nang inspeksiyunin ang dalawa sa immigration counter.

Sa pangalawang inspeksyon, sinabi ng Pinay, hindi pinangalanan, na dati siyang nagtrabaho sa Singapore bilang household service worker (HSW) sa loob ng tatlong buwan.

Sinabi rin umano ng Pinay na asawa niya ang kasamang Filipino- Chinese.

“These human traffickers and illegal recruiters would use numerous tricks and schemes to evade strict immigration checks. But our Immigration Officers are highly trained to detect inconsistencies, both in their documents and in their statements,” sabi nito.

Idiniretso ang mga suspek sa Inter-Agency Council Against Trafficking (IACAT) para sa masusing imbestigasyon.
