Tinanggap ng Malacañang at ng Armed Forces of the Philippines (AFP) ang hakbang ng Simbahan na tulungan ang mga tiwaling pulis na nais magbagong buhay ngunit hiniling sa institusyon na matutong kumilatis.
Ito ay matapos iulat na ang mga pulis na sangkot sa extrajudicial killings ay humihiling ng tulong ng simbahan para makapagbagong- buhay.
Sinabi ni Presidential Spokesperson China Jocson, sa Mindanao Hour/Bangon Marawi press briefing kahapon, na umaasa ang Palasyo na maging matiyaga ang simbahan dahil maaaring magamit sila sa katiwalian.

“We welcome the efforts of the Church to help these rogue cops to mend their ways,” ani Jocson, habang binabasa ang pahayag mula kay Presidential Spokesperson Ernesto Abella. “We hope the Church exercises due diligence as there are drug protectors, kidnappers, kotong and ninja cops who want to destroy the ongoing campaign against illegal drugs,” aniya.
Sinabi naman ni AFP spokesperson Maj. Gen. Restituto Padilla na dapat maging maingat ang Simbahan sa pakikitungo sa mga tiwaling pulis dahil maaaring hindi dalisay ang intensiyon ng mga ito.
“We would like to forewarn the Church to just be discerning. It could be possible that not all who seek the help of the Church, saying they are seeking help because they want to mend their ways, may not who they say they are,” ani Padilla sa parehong press briefing.
