Walang katotohanan ang alegasyon ni Justice Secretary Vitaliano Aguirre II na nakipagpulong si Senador Bam Aquino sa Maute Group nang dumalaw ito sa Marawi City at sinusuportahan niya ang teroristang grupo.
“Is fake news enough for the head of our country’s Department of Justice to make these outrageous allegations? To be clear, there was never any meeting among the individuals mentioned by Sec. Aguirre,” ani Aquino.
Ayon kay Aquino, puwedeng beripikahin ni Aguirre ang mga akusasyon nito sa mga opisyal ng pamahalaan na nakasama niya sa Marawi.
