OTTAWA (AFP) – Sinabi ni Chinese Foreign Minister Wang Yi nitong Miyerkules na ikinalulugod niya ang posibleng pag-init ng relasyon sa Pilipinas, na ngayon ay tensiyonado dahil sa pag-aangkin ng China sa South China Sea.
Nagsalita sa kanyang pagbisita sa Canada matapos purihin kamakailan ni incoming Philippine President Rodrigo Duterte si Chinese President Xi Jinping, sinabi ni Wang Yi sa isang news conference sa Ottawa na “the door of dialogue between China and the Philippines is always open.”
“If the Philippines sincerely wants to come back to the track of dialogue and negotiations, we welcome that. China and the Philippines properly handling disputes through direct dialogue and consultations is helpful for breaking a deadlock in the bilateral relations in recent years,” aniya.
Nasa Ottawa si Wang Yi para sa pakikipagpulong sa kanyang katapat na si Stephane Dion at kay Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau.
