SA grand presscon ng Ikaw Lamang para sa bagong cast tulad ni Christopher de Leon ay hindi siya gaanong nagbigay ng detalye tungkol sa anak na si Miguel na na-diagnose ng testicular germ cell cancer.

Nabanggit din ni Boyet na mahirap para sa kanya ang umalis sa Amerika pero kailangan niyang gawin para tuparin ang kanyang mga responsibilidad bilang artista.

"Nasa California Pacific Medical Center si Miguel, as of now, he's still in the ICU, he's on respirator, with all those tubes," say ng aktor.

Nag-chemotherapy na raw si Miguel pero iniwasan ng premyadong aktor na magdetalye, "I don't want to call it cancer because big C for me ... the Big C is Christ.

"He had an operation when he was five years old pa lang, 'tapos nag-metastasize siya, papuntang lungs. And that's what they are trying right now to eradicate. He underwent chemotherapy for five days.

"If you are in one of the best hospitals in America, they save lives. All the things that you want for your son to have during a situation like this are there. Doctors were really, 24 hours, doing their job - and thank God for that!

"The thing is you have to realize that in a situation like this, it's always in God's time. Samasarna kami ngayon. Like my other son, who lives in New Zealand, he is there right now taking care of Sandy. And Pinky de Leon was there on the first day na ina take ang anak ko. She right away flew from LA to San Francisco. Hanggang ngayon nandoon siya."

Aniya pa, "Things like these I'd like to be busy and hopefully sana payagan ulit ako to go back. I think kailangan namin mag-taping nang mag-taping until makapondo. I don't know."

Abut-abot ang pasasalamat ni Boyet sa mga bumubuo ng Ikaw Lamang dahil pinayagan siyang puntahan si Miguel sa Amerika.

"First and foremost, I would like to thank ABS-CBN, Dreamscape, and all the staff, Sir Deo (Endrinal) for allowing me to leave and be there eksakto on the day my son was transferred to a better hospital.

"The first one was a good hospital but, you know, mas may high-caliber hospital in San Francisco, California Pacific Medical Center. We were taping already, we were like on the road first few weeks, and suddenly this happened. My son had an emergency.

"I asked them if they can give me at least a week to visit or check on my son. He just collapsed, he was, like, in the ICU. Sabi nila (Ikaw Lamang team), the group, 'Go now. It's better for you to go now than wait for another week.'

"Pag-uwi ko (Agosto 11), diretso kami ng taping. That's what they showed yesterday," kuwento ni Boyet.

Nagpaalam din si Sandy sa taping nito for Home Sweetie Home.

"Yeah, still, mayroon siyang Home Sweetie Home. Sabi niya kay Direk Bobot (Mortiz) and Linggit (Tan), 'You have to understand, this is my son. I have to be here'."

Say pa ng aktor, "You know, naka-respirator, sumusulat siya. If he looks for someone, like 'W' would be the wife and 'NA' would be Nanay, who is Sandy. They call kasi Sandy, Nanay. Sabi nga ng mga tagadoon, 'What's NA?' 'It's Nanay, that's how we call her back home.'"

Kaya kailangang mag-taping nang mag-taping ang Ikaw Lamang para sa pondo upang anytime na kinailangan uling umalis ni Boyet para dalawin ang anak ay makakaalis siya.

Kaya pala ngaragan ang tapings ng Ikaw Lamang at nagtutulung-tulong ang tatlong direktor para mapabilis ang trabaho

Pero sabi nga ni Direk Malu, hindi naman basta puwedeng madaliin kasi nasa highlight na ang mga eksena.
