Mariing pinabulaanan ng kampo ni Vice President Sara Duterte ang mga alegasyon ng umano’y dating “bagman” at "aide" nitong si Ramil Madriaga, kasunod ng pagharap niya sa pagdinig ng House Committee on Justice kaugnay ng impeachment complaints laban sa bise presidente.
Sa isang pahayag, sinabi ni Atty. Salvador Paolo Panelo Jr., legal counsel ni VP Sara, na walang pinatibay ang Supplemental Affidavit ni Madriaga at sa halip ay lalo lamang umanong pinakita ang “hindi kapani-paniwala at hindi lohikal” na mga paratang nito.
Ayon kay Panelo, bigong tugunan ni Madriaga ang mahahalagang ebidensya na nauna nang iniharap ng kampo ng bise presidente sa kaugnay na kasong perjury.
Iginiit din niya na ang mga isinumiteng ebidensya ni Madriaga ay tumatalakay lamang sa mga “irrelevant at immaterial matters,” kabilang ang mga isyung dati na umanong napatunayang walang basehan.
Dagdag pa ng abogado, ang mga pangunahing alegasyon ni Madriaga—tulad ng umano’y cash deliveries at mga utos na ipinapadaan sa prepaid phones—ay hindi umano mapapatunayan at nananatiling beripikasyon.

Binigyang-diin ng kampo ng bise presidente na nakahanda silang harapin at pabulaanan ang mga paratang, habang nagpapatuloy ang imbestigasyon ng Kamara hinggil sa mga reklamong inihain laban kay Duterte.

“Our assessment that Ramil Madriaga would be the weakest link in the impeachment case was fully vindicated today. As expected, Madriaga failed to address — because he could not address — the clear and convincing evidence presented by the Vice President in the perjury complaint that proves he is a fraud.
Further, he only presented evidence on irrelevant and immaterial matters, including those already debunked in the perjury complaint; with his core allegations of cash deliveries and instructions through phone calls on prepaid phones conveniently and fatally unverifiable.”
“Far from strengthening the case, the Supplemental Affidavit only heightens the unbelievable and illogical nature of his claims, foremost of which is why former President Rodrigo Duterte and Vice President Sara Duterte would entrust sensitive security and intelligence matters to someone outside the military-police chain of command, and the reported leader of the ‘Madriaga Kidnapping for Ransom Group,’ dubbed by the PNP as ‘one of the most dangerous criminal syndicates in recent history.’
Majority of the Filipino people will see through the lies and the performance, but we relish the opportunity to dismantle his claims once again.”
Ilan sa mga isiniwalat ni Madriaga ang mga umano'y ebidensyang magkakilala sila ni Duterte, taliwas sa naunang pahayag ng Bise Presidente na wala silang kaugnayan o hindi sila magkakilala.
