Handa na muli ang Oriental Mindoro sa pagdagsa ng mga turista matapos makarekober sa epekto ng oil spill kamakailan.
Inanunsyo ni Department of Tourism (DOT) Secretary Christina Frasco, matapos maglunsad ng alternatibong livelihood training program para sa mahigit 1,000 tourism workers na pansamantalang nawalan ng trabaho nang lumubog ang MT Princess Empress sa Naujan, Oriental Mindoro noong Pebrero 28 na nagdulot ng oil spill.
Umaasa ang ahensya na babangon na muli ang turismo sa lalawigan.

"Oriental Mindoro is open and ready for tourism and I invite all our fellow Filipinos and our friends from all over the world to visit and enjoy all the wonderful destinations here as well as all the offerings that they have in terms of their heritage, their culture, and their dive sites," ani Frasco.
Plano na rin ng DOT na buksan ang kanilang Tourist Rest Area (TRA) sa Bongabong sa susunod na taon upang maisulong nang husto ang tourism activities sa lugar.
