Nilinaw ng Oxford Philippine Society (OPS) nitong Biyernes, Oktubre 22 na hindi nakatapos ng kanyang degree si Ferdinand "Bongbong" Marcos at "bumagsak sa preliminary examinations" sa Oxford University.
Kinumpirma rin ng OPS, na binubuo ng mga estudyanteng Pilipino at alumni ng Oxford University sa England, na ginawaran si Marcos ng Special Diploma sa Social Studies noong 1978.

“A Special Diploma is not a degree, and neither is it comparable, superior nor equivalent to one. A Special Diploma is not a course of higher education leading to an undergraduate or first degree or even a master’s degree,” ayon sa pahayag.
Paglilinaw ng grupo, layunin lamang nila na mailabas ang katotohanan kaugnay ng pahayag ni Marcos na nakatapos ito ng pag-aaral sa nasabing unibersidad.
“We would like to emphasise that this statement is not a political statement. We are making this statement in aid of public discourse in a time where disinformation and fake news are prevalent. Such disinformation prevents Filipinos from exercising their democratic rights in a fair and meaningful way, and we believe every Filipino should have access to correct information as we prepare to vote in May 2022,” ayon sa grupo.
Nauna nang kinumpirma ng Oxford University na nakakuha lamang si Marcos ng "special diploma sa social studies," na iba sa bachelor's degree.
