NA-BASH ang direktor na si Joey Reyes dahil lang sa paniniwala niya at suhestiyong palitan ang judges ng Idol PH  na sina Vice Ganda, Moira at James Reid. Si Regine Velasquez lang ang ayaw papalitan ni Direk Joey.

Naging kontrobersyal ang tweet ni Direk Joey na, “Suggestion: Jed Madela, Gary Valenciano, Morisette Amon as replacements? Credibility is important... more than celebrity.”

Mabilis ang reaction ng netizens, kaya nag-tweet agad si Direk Joey ng, “A misstep to make the suggestions. We all want the show to work to give chance to new talents. My apologies for the insensitivity.”

May mga netizen na nag-comment kay Direk Joey ng, “Suggestion do not open an avenue for bashing of the existing judges chosen by the franchise” at “Use your voice to be an encourager instead of being a negative” at “Sorry pero kabastusan na po ito. Let the show finish its run at saka kayo pumili ng gusto ninyo.”

Marami rin naman ang sumang-ayon sa suhestiyon ni Direk Joey, pero para hindi na humaba pa ang sagutan, hindi na sumagot ang direktor sa mga reaksyon at komento ng netizens.
