Nais ni Senator Rissa Hontiveros na bigyan ng insurance at P6,000 sahod bawat buwan ang barangay health workers.
Bukod dito, sasanayin din ang mga BHW upang higit na maging maayos ang kanilang serbisyo.
“Barangay health workers aid the community in primary care like maternal and childcare and health education,” said Hontiveros. But they are not given enough training and compensation for their service,” ani Hontiveros.
Mayroong 219,433 BHW sa buong bansa na nakakalat sa 42,000 barangay. (Leonel Abasola)
