Iginiit ni Senator-elect Panfilo Lacson ang pagpapalakas sa kapangyarihan ng mga Local Government Unit (LGU) para sa pagsugpo sa krimen at tustusan ang kaunlaran.
Ipinanukala niya ang Budget Reform Advocacy for Village Empowerment (BRAVE) upang dagdagan ang pondo ng mga LGU.
“This shares the objective of federalism – to empower local government units with sufficient funds to implement their own development projects – without having to go through the process of amending the 1987 Constitution,” ani Lacson. (Leonel Abasola)
