Bukod kina Top Rank big boss Bob Arum at Hall of Fame trainer Freddie Roach, gusto rin ni ex-IBF welterweight champion at sparring partner ni Pambansang Kamao Manny Pacquiao na si Shawn Porter na magkaroon ng rematch ang People’s champion kay dating pound-for-pound king Floyd Mayweather Jr.

Naging pinakamalaking laban sa kasaysayan ng boksing ang Mayweather-Pacquiao welterweight unification bout noong Mayo 2, 2015 sa MGM Grand Las Vegas, Nevada matapos sirain ang lahat ng rekord sa professional boxing.

Sa panayam ni boxing writer Ryan Burton ng BoxingScene.com, iginiit ni Porter na gusto niyang makita na kaharap ni Mayweather sa ibabaw ng ring ang isang malusog na Pacquiao.

Kabilang si Porter sa mga dating sparring partner ni Pacquiao na naging kampeong pandaigdig matapos niyang makuha ang IBF title noong 2013 nang talunin sa puntos ang kababayan niyang si Devon Alexander sa New York.

Muling magtatangka si Porter na maging world champion sa paghamon kay WBA welterweight titlist Keith Thurman sa Marso 12 sa Unsatville, Connecticut sa Estados Unidos at inaasahang tatalunin niya ang knockout artist mula sa Florida.

“Yes (I would like to see it again) and here is why. Again like I said you only get one night but what happens if you get one more night? You can make adjustments and make things better,” sambit ni Porter hinggil sa Mayweather-Pacquiao rematch.

“Ideally you get a sharper Manny Pacquiao. The Manny that fought Oscar De La Hoya, Ricky Hatton and Miguel Cotto,” aniya. “I love these questions because that is what makes boxing great. If your guy wins you are so happy and if he loses you are crushed. That is what boxing brings out of the fans and I want to be in those types of fights.”
